The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme for SMEs workshop
March 14 to 17, the Project team participated in the training course delivered by Mr. Frunzik Voskanyan, UNIDO Expert, Head of “The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme for SMEs in Armenia” Project. The training sessions covered inter alia global trends in green economy, start-up support systems, lessons learned by the Armenia project and best practices of project implementation.
One more pilot project has been implemented
With the assistance of the Project, the lightening system of OJSC Rivne Factory of Non-woven Fabric company has been reconstructed (LED lamps installed). This resulted in 8-fold reduction of the enterprise’s energy consumption for lightening and significant improvement of conditions at workplaces.
Meeting investors from Norway
The Project team took part in the meeting with the delegation of Norwegian investors interested in implementation of joint projects in renewable energy sector in Ukraine. The prospects of partnership were discussed. The participants noted that the business plans developed in the framework of the Project could serve the basis in a search for potential partners
GEF Secretary to the Council and the Minister visited pilot project
Mr. William Ehlers, Secretary to the Council, Coordinator – Country Relations of GEF and Mr. Semerak Ostap, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine visited the pilot project of UNIDO/GEF Project "Improving energy efficiency and promoting renewable energy in the agro-food sector and other small and medium enterprises(SMEs) in Ukraine" – bread-baking plant of Khlibprom LLC - in the framework of GEF Extended Constituency Workshop.
The GEF Expanded Constituency Workshop (ECW) for the Eastern Europe
The GEF Expanded Constituency Workshop (ECW) for the Eastern Europe has started today in Lviv. The delegations from Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine are among the ECW participants.
